Lecturer Magdalena Bosch presents her book Desire and Human Flourishing at Francisco de Vitoria University
The lecturer presented her book as part of a seminar on the analysis of René Girard’s theory of mimetic desire from the perspective of education.
Magdalena Bosch, lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, presented the book Desire and Human Flourishing as part of the fifth seminar of the ongoing research group on violence and religion at Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid.
Bosch’s recently published work is a reflection on the concept of desire as a positive factor in human growth and development. The event focused on an analysis of the thought and theory of mimetic desire developed by René Girard, an author who extensively explored the idea of desire, from the perspective of education.
The seminar was also attended by Francisco de Vitoria University lecturer Ángel Barahona and Barcelona University lecturer Jorge Larrosa.
