Lecturers Núria Vallcorba and Carolina Mor Receive Simó Virgili Award

The Simó Virgili Award for the best scientific article published in 2013 was presented in Barcelona on Saturday, 14 June 2014. The award is presented annually by the Catalan Society of Dentistry and Dental Medicine.

The 2013 edition awarded a first prize of €2,000 to the article “Clinical, microbiological and genetic evaluation of a patient with Papillon-Lefèvre syndrome caused by heterozygous mutation of the protease cathepsin C. Observation over 24 months of periodontal and prosthetic treatment”, written by Drs. Núria Vallcorba and Carolina Mor, lecturers at the UIC, in collaboration with co-authors Drs. Federico Margitic and Anna Xalabardé.

The goal of the award is to recognize the best article in the field of dentistry and dental medicine to have appeared in any publication worldwide.
