Lorenzo Chelleri of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, among the most influential researchers in the world
Ten UIC Barcelona researchers have been listed in the top 2% of Stanford University's prestigious World Scientist Rankings, which includes nearly 200,000 scientists from 26 different areas. A total of 3,711 of those chosen are from Spain. The ranking list is published in the Elsevier journal and prepared using various parameters, such as the number of indexed publications, citations received, h-index, co-authorship and a composite indicator score.
The researcher Lorenzo Chelleri of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, features in the ranking. Chelleri is the director of the Master’s Degree in City Resilience Design and Management de UIC Barcelona.
Four UIC Barcelona researchers on this ranking list belong to the Faculty of Dentistry: lecturer Conrado Aparicio; Alberto Monje, lecturer for the Area of Periodontics of the Faculty of Dentistry; Federico Hernández-Alfaro, full professor and head of the Area of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery; and José Nart Molina, the head of the Area of Periodontics.
From the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Medicine the following researchers are mentioned: Ramon Grimalt; María Teresa Fernández-Figueras; and Mercè Boada, medical director of the ACE Foundation, linked to UIC Barcelona.
Two researchers on the ranking list belong to the Bioengineering Institute of Technology (BIT): Román Pérez Artoñanzas, director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering; and Xavier Gil Mur, full professor of the bachelor’s degree programme and BIT researcher, as well as former rector of UIC Barcelona. Both have received this recognition for the impact of their publications on biomaterials for tissue regeneration.
