Lunet joins UIC Barcelona in offering a grants fund for students at risk of social exclusion

This is a grant available to students at risk of social exclusion to study any degree at UIC Barcelona, awarded by the Maria Pou Foundation, a foundation set up by the Lunet Facility Services Company

Lunet, a facility services company focusing on cleaning maintenance, recently renewed its cooperation agreement with the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona). Through this agreement the company will contribute towards the grants fund, specifically one of the grants set up by the Maria Pou Foundation. The Foundation was also set up by the same company.

The Maria Pou Foundation grant is part of a programme of inclusive measures that includes a grant of 9.000 euros per year for students at risk of social exclusion to enrol for the current academic year.

The programme is designed to facilitate access for future UIC Barcelona students who want to take a degree in the institution.

Right from the start Lunet’s mission has been to be an organisation that is committed to people.

Through the “Lunet Solidario” project, it provides support for projects that work in cooperation with organisations it shares values with. These values include solidarity, equality and respect.

These are projects that are linked to the development of depressed areas, an improvement in education or in living conditions for marginalised groups.

Juan Miguel Carmona, CEO of Lunet and president of the Maria Pou Foundation, Jesús Rico, deputy general director of Lunet and Xavier Gil, rector of UIC Barcelona were all present when the agreement was signed.
