Mamblona Member of Judging Panel at International Festival of Music, Audiovisual Arts and Video Clips

Dr. Ricard Mamblona, a professor in the UIC Faculty of Communication Sciences, participated as a member of the judging panel at the sixth edition of the Barcelona International Festival of Music, Audiovisual Arts and Video Clips (Musiclip), which was held between Monday, 26 November, and Saturday, 1 December 2012.

Each year, the festival awards prizes for the
best projects involving video clips, documentaries and short musical films. Musiclip
was created in 2007 by the Activa Films production company to reward the best
video clips of the year. The festival has expanded and now includes seminars,
international retrospectives from partner festivals, live concerts, an awards
ceremony and a closing ceremony.

Over the course of the festival, reflections
were made on the script used in a video clip, the use of 3D and the production
of music videos in the current crisis.

The awards were presented in the Sala Sidecar club in Barcelona by two students from the UIC
Faculty of Communication: Yosi Suárez, who is
studying Advertising and Public Relations, and Amanda Luesma, who is studying
Journalism. At the ceremony, prizes were awarded for best video clip, best new director,
best animated video clip and best video clip in Catalan.
