Maria Córdoba, Synthon Iberia, stresses the importance of hiring in accordance with the company's mission and values

Maria Córdoba, Head of Human Resources at the Dutch pharmaceutical company Synthon Iberia, delivered a conference to third-year Business Administration students as part of the course on Human Resource Management.

Córdoba underscored the importance of hiring people in accordance with the company's mission and values (cost, quality, innovation, motivation and leadership). She explained that at Synthon they use highly specific standardised processes to hire personnel based on this premise.

She also stressed the need for a trial period at the company, which is when you really get to know the candidate and where the hiring process ends.

The session was held within the conference cycle organised as part of the course on Human Resources Management taught by Dr Marta Mas.
