The Mexican Consul and Consul for Public Affairs visit UIC Barcelona
Claudia Pavlovich, Consul of Mexico, and Adrian Michel, Consul for Political Affairs, Technical and Scientific Educational Cooperation and Communities, visited the Barcelona campus with the aim of exploring new avenues of collaboration between the University and the North American country.
On 26th November, UIC Barcelona received the visit of the Consul of Mexico, the Hon. Claudia Pavlovich, together with Mr Adrián Michel Espino, Consul for Political Affairs, Technical and Scientific Educational Cooperation and Communities. The meeting, which took place at the Barcelona campus, was attended by the rector of UIC Barcelona, Dr Alfonso Méndiz, alongside Dr Eduardo Mirpuri, vice-rector for International Relations, Reetta Vilhelmiina Heikkinen, Global Partnerships Manager, and Juan Pablo Garrido, director of Corporate Development.
The visit aimed to strengthen institutional relations between UIC Barcelona and Mexico, opening up new opportunities for collaboration that will boost academic mobility and create joint programmes between the two institutions.
During the meeting, various initiatives were discussed to promote student mobility, both for regular and exchange students, as well as the mobility of teaching and research staff (PDI) and administration and service staff (PAS). Additionally, they explored the possibility of extending collaboration agreements with Mexican universities, promoting joint degrees that strengthen the academic offering and internationalisation of UIC Barcelona.
This visit further highlights UIC Barcelona's commitment to internationalisation, which is reflected in the presence of students from over 106 nationalities on its campuses.
