New Edition of Master's and Postgraduate Programmes in Cultural Management

On Monday, 13 October 2014, a new edition began of the Spanish and English versions of the Master's Degree Programme in Arts and Cultural Management and the Postgraduate Degree Programme in Cultural Management. This year, the programmes have welcomed students from 26 different countries.

The curriculum combines reflection on theoretical ideas about culture and society with a practical vision of the world of cultural management, which is why so much weight is given to the obligatory internship in institutions and companies. The internship accounts for a total of 300 hours and one-fifth of the programme credits.

The master's programme was first offered three years ago. The UIC's academic programmes were then expanded with the postgraduate programme, followed by the version taught entirely in English. This year the programmes will be attended by 60 students from countries all over the world, including Germany, Armenia, India, Norway, the Philippines, Taiwan, Russia, Thailand, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru. In addition to the international student body, the lecturers also come from countries other than Spain, such as Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy and Poland.

Because of this multicultural environment of students and lecturers, programme participants are strongly encouraged to share of valuable information and experience.
