Open House at UIC Campuses

On Saturday, 13 April 2013, the UIC opened its doors on the Barcelona and Sant Cugat campuses. During the open house, future students and their families were able to learn more about the degrees the university offers and visit its facilities.

After attending a welcoming ceremony and collecting their material, those who attended participated in an information session about the UIC. Following this, on the Barcelona campus, students interested in degrees in Journalism, Advertising and Audiovisual Communication were able to visit the university's sets, post-production rooms and radio studio. At the same time, those interested in Education degrees were able to visit the faculty's facilities.

The students then met with first-year architecture student Marta Delgado, the recent winner of the National School Leavers’ Award given by the Spanish government to the top fifteen secondary-school students in the country and winner of the Outstanding Student Award from the Catalan government. In her talk, Delgado gave some tips for doing well on the university entrance exam to students who will soon have to take it.

The open house on the Sant Cugat campus was similar and those who attended, almost 230 people, toured the Faculty of Dentistry and visited its laboratories, simulation laboratory and facilities.

The ESARQ School of Architecture had its own open house, in which students interested in architecture were able to visit its facilities and see the exhibition of projects that first- to fifth-year ESARQ students created in the Projects subject.
