our students from UIC Barcelona win a competition at the IESE Business School

Luis Romans, Oriol Puigdelloses, Patricia Manresa and Francesc Gubert, from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, received recognition for their use of the case method.

Four students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona were named winners of the IESE Business Case Competition, which took place every Saturday from 17 February to 10 March. 

The objective of the competition was to resolve a number of cases in four completely different areas using the technique known as “case method”. According to the students, the contest required them to make decisions based on the case of the Titanic; analyse sales and business development with Atai S.A.; production management with Banihana; and marketing strategies with Visualfy.

The team that represented UIC Barcelona at the IESE Business School competition was made up of four students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE): Luis Romans, a 2nd-year student from the Double Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management + Engineering and Industrial Management; Oriol Puigdelloses, a 3rd-year student from the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management – English Programme; Patricia Manresa, a 3rd-year student from the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management; and Francesc Gubert, a 4th-year student from the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

As a prize, each participant received a certificate of recognition for winning the competition.
