Physiotherapy Students Volunteer to Participate in Alba Race Again This Year
Students in the second and third years of the UIC Physiotherapy programme participated as volunteers in the 25th edition of the Alba cross-country race on Sunday, 13 May 2012. The race is held each year in the village of Collbató.
About twenty students in the
Physiotherapy programme offered their services as volunteers in the race
recovery area. They gave massages to runners and helped them with passive
stretching exercises after they had finished the race.
This year, 432 runners ran in the
24-km race in the area around the village of Collbató and Montserrat. The race
follows a route that has a total altitude difference of 2000 m.
