Prof. Mut Analyses Enclaves in European Countries at Slubice Conference

Professor María Mut of the UIC Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences participated in the international conference European Exclaves in the Process of De-bordering and Re-bordering held at Collegium Polonicum in Slubice, Poland, on Monday, 7 February 2013.

The subject of the conference was enclaves and exclaves in European countries throughout history and the process of how the borders of these structures evolve and change.

The book State Exclaves in Europe was also presented at the conference. Prof. Mut contributed to the chapter "The Spanish Exclave of Llívia". The book was published in December 2012 by Logos Verlag (Berlin).

The conference was organized by International Relations Professors Jaroslaw Janczak and Przemyslaw Osiewicz. Collegium Polonicum is an academic institution created and managed by the German university European University Viadrina and the Polish university Adam Mickiewicz University in the city of Slubice. The Collegium was created as a meeting point for European students in a period in which borders between countries are breaking down.
