Professor Nebrera Named President of Legal Issues Committee for 2014 International Conference ORP

Montserrat Nebrera, a professor in the UIC Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences, was appointed President of the Legal Issues Committee for the 12th International Conference on Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP), which will be held in the Congress Centre of Zaragoza on Wednesday to Friday, 21-23 May 2014.

This international conference on the prevention of occupational risk is organized each year by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya's Research Centre for Corporate Excellence and Innovation (CERpIE). The twelfth edition is being organized in collaboration with the government of Aragon. At the conference, the committees in each different area are responsible for proposing research lines for future conferences, recommending the most suitable people to participate in them and assessing contributions to guarantee their quality. Prof. Nebrera is President of the committee that studies the legal aspects of risk prevention.

As Nebrera said, "The ORP Conference has become a stable international reference for addressing risk prevention from the perspective of information sharing among countries and especially large companies with prevention models that can be exported to other industries". Nebrera went on to say that the conference is therefore a true "centre for the exchange of experiences and information on new regulations for institutions".

Montserrat Nebrera has participated in other editions of this conference, such as the one held in Santiago de Chile, where she read the closing paper before three thousand five hundred people. Nebrera's previous participation focused more on the perspective of corporate leadership to create incentives for risk prevention.
