A project from the Faculty of Humanities has been selected for the UIC Barcelona #NoTalentWithoutFuture campaign

The project entitled “Los cambios en la gestión de la cultura en Cataluña post-COVID-19. De la presencialidad a la virtualidad” (Changes in cultural management in a post-COVID-19 Catalonia: from on-site to online) will analyse the impact coronavirus has had on the culture sector and on new forms of cultural management.

The project presented by the research group History, Architecture and Design, led by Dr Marta Crispí and Dr Judith Urbano, is one of three chosen from among eleven projects presented as part of the special aid campaign #NoTalentWithoutFuture launched at UIC Barcelona.

The proposals had to be related to research into COVID-19 and its repercussions on different fields of knowledge. As regards the Humanities project entitled “Los cambios en la gestión de la cultura en Cataluña post-COVID-19. De la presencialidad a la virtualidad”, the group will explore the impact the pandemic has had on the culture sector and on new cultural management models that have been devised to cope in the aftermath.

The project will also analyse the strategies and good practices observed by cultural institutions during the lockdown into order to maintain and increase public interest, as well as outline new management model profiles that have emerged due to changes in cultural consumption.
