Public exhibition of the self-assessment accreditation report for the PhD in Economics and Law
The Doctoral School is currently immersed in the accreditation process for the PhD in Economics and Law. This process is outlined in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya).
In April, an External Evaluation Committee set up by AQU Catalunya will visit UIC Barcelona in order to evaluate the development of the degree programmes in situ. In line with the protocols approved by AQU Catalunya in view of the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the visit will be carried out virtually.
The accreditation visit has the following objectives:
• To ensure the quality of the academic programmes offered, according to the levels of qualification established and the criteria of the regulations in force;
• To guarantee that there is viable and reliable information which helps users of the university system to take decisions, and
• To facilitate internal quality improvement processes and services developed by Catalan universities.
The self-assessment report carried out and presented during the accreditation process, will be made available to the wider educational community on the website of UIC Barcelona Doctoral School’s (Quality: IQAS). Anyone wishing to read the report, and if they so wish, comment upon it, may do so. Comments should be emailed to edoc@uic.es before 30 March.
