Puntodis renews its commitment to the Postgraduate Degree in Accessibility and Design for All for the seventh year running
The new edition of the course begins in September with the enrolment period now open
On 19 June, Puntodis renewed its agreement to sponsor the Postgraduate Degree in Accessibility and Design for All. Present at the signing was the company's managing director Jon Imanol Ibarra, the rector of UIC Barcelona, Xavier Gil, the head of the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, Josep Lluís i Ginovart and the director of postgraduate studies, professor Enrique Rovira-Beleta.
Thus, Puntodis will be one of the companies sponsoring the ninth edition of this postgraduate degree, due to start in September and which will continue with its interactive online version (distance learning).
A new feature of this edition is that students will be provided with professional licences for Open BIN Accessibility software from the company CYPE which allows professionals to check automatically whether spaces in buildings comply with legally established accessibility requirements.
The enrolment period is now open and, for this academic year, the Randstad Foundation will be distributing a total of three grants of up to €1,000 for Spanish people with functional diversity and special needs who wish to study for this postgraduate degree. The foundation also undertakes to assist grant recipients in finding a job.
The Postgraduate Degree in Accessibility and Design for All is a pioneering academic course on a global level. It guarantees that there are trained experts in the field of "unnoticed accessibility" who seek to standardise criteria and promote inclusive design.
