The new feature is that, for the first time, a clinical study by Quirón Hospital was used in the basic research done at the UIC Surgical Anatomy Lab. Specialists from Quirón Hospital are participating in the research study, including Dr. Marta Rius, Dr. Roberto Seijas and Dr. Óscar Ares, as well as UIC medical students, who are gaining valuable experience in research methodologies.

The project was made possible thanks to the ultrasound machine made available to the UIC by Quirón Hospital.
