The School of Architecture's Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture partners with the MoDDD at Australia's RMIT University

RMIT University, in cooperation with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and UN-Habitat, recently launched its new Master of Disaster, Design and Development (MoDDD). 

The purpose of this programme is to research ways in which design can be used as a strategic tool to resolve complex global challenges such as poverty, natural disasters and climate change.

In addition to online courses and intensive seminars and workshops in Melbourne and Barcelona, the programme also includes optional field trips organised in conjunction with the Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture at UIC Barcelona's School of Architecture.

Following its initial launch at the "Designing for a Fragile Planet" symposium at RMIT in October, MoDDD will celebrate its European launch with a homonymous symposium at its Barcelona headquarters on 30 November.
