The seminar began with a lecture by Javier Vidal-Quadras, secretary-general of the International Federation for Family Development and assistant director of the Institute. In his talk, Vidal-Quadras discussed the main characteristics of conjugal love, the distinctive features of femininity and masculinity and the factors that make for harmonious cohabitation as a family.

The first lecture was followed by a coffee break, during which the attendees had time to share experiences and talk directly with the speakers. Afterwards came a practical module consisting of two workshops focused on strengthening family ties and interpersonal relationships. The workshops were led by María Pilar Lacorte, assistant director of Teaching Programmes for the Institute, and Montserrat Santigosa, educational psychologist and family counsellor.
