Several Students from ESARQ School of Architecture Visit Rockwool Insulation Factory in Caparroso, Navarra

On Tuesday, 20 December 2011, about 20 students on the Sustainability 1 course at the ESARQ School of Architecture visited the facilities of Rockwool Insulation Factory in Caparroso, Navarra.

The students enjoyed a tour of the facilities and the factory, which manufactures insulation products. The visit was organized by the CEIM Industrialized Construction Department, which forms part of the ESARQ School of Architecture.

The Department is supported by four companies that represent the different players in the construction industry: Construccions Bosch Pascual (a construction company), Intemper (a company specializing in roofing and façades), Prefabricats Pujol (a company specializing in prefabricated buildings) and Rockwool (an insulation company).

Rockwool Peninsular is the Spanish subsidiary of the group Rockwool International and is located in Navarra. Rockwool insulation is one of the most sustainable industrial products available, because it saves more energy than it uses and minimizes air pollution throughout its life cycle.

Such activities help students make contact with the business world and gain firsthand knowledge of the materials used in the industrialization sector.
