Simulation included in the University Master's Degree in Healthcare Management

Students of the University Master's Degree in Healthcare Management taught in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences had the opportunity to participate in an innovative simulation module taught by the Comprehensive Advanced Simulation Centre on the Sant Cugat campus

The University Master's Degree in Healthcare Management has brought this year’s edition to a close with a 5-hour module taught by the Comprehensive Advanced Simulation Centre. The 23 students taking the module were able to experience first-hand the advantages of simulation as an innovative teaching tool. Coordinated by three instructors and with the help of sixteen actors, the master’s students were able to get to grips with different situations simulating real-life hospital scenes.

In particular, four simulation scenes were worked on:  Management committee, Workers’ committee, Emergency department and Hospitalisation. In each of these scenes, the participants had to tackle and solve different management situations. The activity ended with an analysis of the strengths and areas for improvement regarding the different management competences practised.
