Strategic Management students analyse the authenticity of values in companies
In December fourth year Business Administration and Management students presented their research papers to a jury. The jury consisted of Montse Pigem, Head of Training and Development at Aigües de Barcelona and Noemí Freixes, HR Business Partner for Corporate Areas at Almirall.
These research papers were required to answer the following question “Are the values in the companies authentic?” Students evaluated corporate missions and values in companies such as La Caixa, GVC Gaesco, Bacoa, Kaufland (Germany), IMI (UK), ZSEM (Croatia) and Micimpact (South Korea) and compared it to the reality they could observe in the daily lives of employees.
To undertake this study, students implemented various research techniques from primary and secondary sources. These included publications on the internet, in the press, questionnaires and interviews with employees, clients and other stakeholders.
