Three doctoral students earn an AGAUR FI Fellowship

The recipients of the FI Fellowships from the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) were Ferran Celma and Alexis Pérez, doctoral students in the Department of Basic Sciences; and Úrsula Valls, a doctoral student in the Faculty of Humanities. This aid will help cover the cost of their doctoral studies during the next three years.

This fellowship programme is funded by the Directorate-General for Research (DGR) of the Department of Business and Knowledge’s Universities and Research Secretariat and co-funded by the European Social Fund.

The grants, offered to universities, research centres and hospital foundations, are awarded with the goal of hiring early-stage researchers and promoting research quality, helping to incorporate young researchers into research groups and competitive research projects.

This is the first time UIC Barcelona has earned three fellowships. Thanks to this call, other doctoral students from other scientific areas have also been able to benefit from the three predoctoral fellowships atUIC Barcelona.
