Three students from UIC Barcelona are selected for the 2023 CYD Foundation’s Mentoring Programme
Two students from the Faculty of Communications and one from the double degree in Humanities and Law have been selected for this programme that connects university students in the final stages of their studies with the best managers in Spain
UIC Barcelona students María Carcaboso and Valeria Gómez, from Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations respectively, and Wendy Cedeño, of the double degree in Humanities and Law, are among 28 students selected for the tenth edition of the CYD Foundation’s Mentoring Programme. This selection was made from over 100 applications submitted by students from universities throughout Spain.
The CYD Mentoring Programme is the link between students in their final undergraduate year of university with professionals with extensive experience in recognised companies. This initiative is aligned with one of the main objectives of the CYD Foundation: to strengthen and expand the links between the university and the company.
With this objective, the project helps participating students to enhance new skills, to develop professional networks and to learn about decision-making. To date, it has benefited from the collaboration of 112 mentors from companies such as Suez, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Cuatrecasas, Ernst & Young, Havas, IBM, Prisa, and up 252 students have been mentored.
On this occasion, Carcaboso and Gómez will have Alfonso Rodé, president of Havas Group Spain as a mentor, and Cedeño will be mentored by Pilar Fernández Bozal, partner in charge of Public Law at Ernst & Young, Spain.
