Two Education Faculty Lecturers Attend 6th International EDO Meeting

Mireia Tintoré and Xavier Ureta, researchers and members of the UIC Organizational Development Team (EDO-UIC) and lecturers in the UIC Faculty of Education, attended the 6th International organizational Development Team (EDO) Meeting held at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on Friday, 15 May 2015.

“Rethinking Organizational Education" was the theme of the meeting attended by representatives from several universities in Spain and abroad. In the section on presentations of relevant studies, the UIC EDO team presented different initiatives they have implemented, including the project by the research group ARMIF-UIC: “Research and Entrepreneurship: Two Competencies for Improving Quality in Initial Teacher Training”.

The main aim of this project is to develop and assess strategies that help work on two kinds of cross-cutting competencies: scientific competencies to develop a critical spirit, research and inquiry; and competencies related to innovation and creativity to favour entrepreneurship.

The Organizational Development Team (EDO) is a consolidated research group whose researchers include the members of EDO-UIC: UIC professors Dr. Mireia Tintoré and Dr. Albert Arbós.
