They are the master’s degrees in International Cooperation at the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture and in Periodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry. According to the El Mundo ranking, the Architecture degree remains among the three best postgraduate studies in Spain after Navarra and the Complutense of Madrid. The Master’s Degree in Periodontics has obtained fifth place, only behind master’s degrees taught by the University of Granada and two from the Complutense University of Madrid.
With regard to the Master's Degree in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture, the paper highlighted that the University offers agreements with the main humanitarian agencies of the International Federation of Red Cross and the Red Crescent Society. They also drew attention to the module of mandatory work placements during the last three months of the course.
As for the Master's Degree in Periodontics, El Mundo stressed especially that, in addition to the programme's degree, students obtain the diploma awarded by the European Board in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry after finishing their studies.
In order to compile this report, the newspaper compiled fifty specialist fields and highlighted the five best, based on an analysis that took into account 25 criteria and the opinions of 800 lecturers and professors, experts, former students and collaborating companies. UIC Barcelona stands out as the only university in Catalonia present among the five best master’s degrees in the areas of Dentistry and Design and Architecture in the ranking.
