Two UIC Barcelona lecturers attend the Scholas World Congress at the Vatican
Salvador Vidal and Sílvia Albareda, lecturers from the Faculty of Education, took part in the 6th Scholas World Congress. The aim of the event, organised by Pope Francis and held at the Vatican, was to become acquainted with university projects from around the world that focus on building educational bridges with schools to convey Pope Francis' teachings.
40 universities took part in the Congress, including UIC Barcelona, which works with Scholas Occurrentes on issues relating to integral ecology through the University Sustainability and Social Responsibility (SIRSU) Research Group, of which Silvia Albareda and Salvador Vidal are members.
The Scholas Occurrentes Foundation of Pontifical Right uses knowledge networks to disseminate Pope Francis' educational doctrine, which promotes integration and social peace through values such art, sport and technology.
