UIC Barcelona continues to be the university with the highest regularity of graduates passing the MIR cut-off mark
More than 98% of the medical graduates in the past nine graduating classes of the degree programme, have passed the MIR cut-off mark
Again this year, almost all students from UIC Barcelona have passed the exam to do the specialty as a resident intern physician (MIR), in the exam that took place on 21 January.
In this year’s edition, 51% of UIC Barcelona graduates taking the test would occupy a preferential order, ranking between the first 30 and 3,000 places out of the 8,550 places offered.
With these data, Dr Albert Balaguer, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, made a very positive assessment since “these results confirm that the education offered at UIC Barcelona not only ensures that its graduates are among the most valued young physicians, but also gives them a competitive edge on the entrance exams for a specialty.”
The dean also highlighted the integral training received by UIC Barcelona Medicine graduates, “focused on the person” and “focused on encouraging vocation of service and working on the best individual skills in facing the challenges of the medical profession.”
