UIC Barcelona participates in the European Association for International Education fair

Between 24 and 17 September, a UIC Barcelona delegation participated in the European Association for International Education fair (EAIE), which took place in Helsinki, the Finnish capital. It is an international fair which aims to bring universities together.

62 universities from 27 countries met with the aim of achieving loyalty and consolidation between partner institutions and to create new alliances in strategic countries.  “Being able to connect with professionals from the higher education sector, in different parts of the world, provides a good overview of university education and boosts internationalisation” said Isadora Garcia, a lecturer from the Faculty of Communication Sciences and a member of the Helsinki delegation.

The UIC Barcelona group visiting the fair included Celia Martínez and Retta Heikkinen from the International Relations Service; Román Pérez, director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering, Neus Vila, academic mobility coordinator for the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Marta Benages, academic mobility coordinator for the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, as well as Isadora García. This year architecture student Antón Aluja also participated in this event.

The EAIE is a highly prestigious European conference, which brings together around 6000 professionals from universities around the world with the aim of presenting their courses. The next edition of this fair will be held in Barcelona between 15 and 18 September next year, and the theme will be “Forging Creative Pathways”.
