For the third consecutive year, UIC Barcelona has ranked in the area of Clinical and Health in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject. In the 2023 edition, UIC Barcelona obtained position 601-800 of the 1,001 institutions ranked worldwide. At the national level, UIC Barcelona holds position =17 of the 41 Spanish universities ranked. Medicine and Dentistry are included in this area, as well as other health-related studies such as physiotherapy, nursing, bioengineering and biomedical sciences.

UIC Barcelona improved its score in the area of Clinical and Health in two of the five pillars: International perspective (+2,3) and Research (+1,4). At the national level in Clinical and Health, the University obtained the 3rd position in International Outlook, following the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Universitat de Vic.

Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject offers the ranking of the world's best universities by subject, covering 11 subject areas, providing an overview of the world's best entities to study a chosen discipline. 

The methodology used in World University Rankings by subject is based on the same performance indicators used in Times Higher Education World University Ranking, grouped into five pillars: teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income. These are weighted according to each subject individually.
