UIC Barcelona takes part in the kick-off meeting for the project “Improving Working Environments for Critical Care Nurses”

The project HWE4CCN, which involves the Department of Nursing at UIC Barcelona, as well as other organisations from around Europe, is part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme

On 13 and 14 November, Cyprus hosted the first meeting of the work team assigned to the project “Improving Working Environments for Critical Care Nurses” (HWE4CCN). The gathering was coordinated by Dr Evanthia Georgiou and Dr Maria Hadjibalassi, the project’s scientific director and technical director, respectively, and members of the Cyprus Nurses and Midwives Association (CYNMA). Also on hand at the session were representatives from all affiliated organisations: Media Partners (Romania), CNSARIC (Croatia), the Polish Association of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Nurses (Poland) and UIC Barcelona (Spain).

Over the course of the two days, and with a view to setting the project in motion, the participating partners presented their organisations and discussed the project’s main areas: the management plan, timetable and other aspects such as sustainability, risk management, quality, dissemination and the use of the results.

The work team’s next meeting, the aim of which is to develop the testing phase, will take place in Poland in March 2020, with the Polish Association of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Nurses (PTPAiIO) as hosts.
