UIC Barcelona teaches an Endodontics course along with four Latin American universities

On 21, 22 and 23 September the Faculty of Dentistry was visited by 35 students and professors from the University of the Andes (Chile), the Autonomous University of Baja California (Mexico), the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (Mexico) and the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (Guatemala) during a course on Endodontics organised by UIC Barcelona.

During this course, which was also attended by Master’s degree in Endodontics students from the university, and was taught by professors from the four different universities, endodontic treatment plans were discussed. This is one of the most challenging aspects of the decision-making process of an endodontist since it not only depends on factors related to this specialisation but also on aspects of the overall comprehensive treatment plan. The aim of the course was to describe the limitations of endodontics and how this specialist area can be incorporated into a dental treatment plan that takes into account the whole of the patient's mouth.
