UIC Barcelona tighten our links with the Universidad Católica de San Pablo, Arequipa (Peru)

On 25 September, representatives of the Peruvian University visited UIC Barcelona.

The visit was a first meeting, at which we exchanged experiences about our values and how we put them into effect at the university. We also discussed the possibility of future international agreements for exchange, joint research and other cooperation. 

Miguel Salazar, representative of the University Board of Trustees, Alejandro Esténos, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Enrique Gordillo, Research Coordinator of the Department of Education came from the Universidad Católica de San Pablo. They were met by Esther Jiménez, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Jaume Camps, lecturer from the Faculty of Education, as well as Belén Zárate, Vice-Rector for the University Community, Mònica Argemí, Director of Institutional Culture and Professional Development and Isabel Pera, Director of International Relations from UIC Barcelona. 

Universidad Católica de San Pablo (UCSP) is a private university. It was founded in 1997, and had a shared philosophy with UIC Barcelona, based on Christian humanism. It is the 15th university in the country’s rankings. The UCSP has agreements with eight universities in Spain, which include Pontificia de Salamanca, CEU San Pablo University, Universidad de Sevilla and Universidad de Zaragoza. In Peru, UIC Barcelona has eight international agreements with other universities.
