UIC Barcelona’s Bachelor's Degree in Law obtains favourable accreditation from AQU Catalunya

The Faculty of Communication Sciences is currently immersed in the accreditation process for the Bachelor's Degree in Law that it offers. This process is described in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU)

On 20 May 2022, the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Law received a visit from an external evaluation committee, appointed by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya), whose objective was to evaluate the development of the Bachelor’s Degree in Law.

After an exhaustive evaluation, the AQU has recently reported that the Bachelor’s Degree in Law has successfully passed the accreditation process, which is essential to maintain the official recognition of the degree. Additionally, the external committee highlighted set of strengths and good practices that guarantee the proper functioning of the bachelor’s degree. Some of these strengths are the advice and support that students receive from the faculty, the conduct of oral exams and the use of the case method to promote public speaking skills and to enhance the degree programme’s approach to professional practice; the Academic Excellence Grant Programme (BEA); the high student, faculty and employer satisfaction with the bachelor’s degree; and the facilities available to the bachelor’s degree programme.

The Faculty of Law and the Faculty Board affirm that they will continue to work to maintain and improve the quality of the programmes that are part of their academic offering and express their gratitude to everyone in the community who has collaborated throughout the process.
