The UIC Department of Management by Missions and Corporate Purpose presents the book 'Purpose-driven Organisations'
Dr Carlos Rey, Director of the UIC Barcelona Chair in Management by Missions and Corporate Purpose has published Purpose-driven Organizations. Management Ideas for a Better World, a book that puts forward innovative solutions to channel the individual goals of the people within organisations toward engagement with the organisation and with society.
The publication analyses and proposes new models in the management of organisations based on the aspirations and motivations of their people. It not only provides academic information, but also practical cases so that readers can learn to develop their sense of purpose in any type of company or institution.
Purpose-driven Organizations is part of the Chair’s research activity directed by Carlos Rey, connected with the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of UIC Barcelona. He has co-edited the book together with Miquel Bastons, also lecturer at UIC Barcelona’s Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, and Phil Sotok, along with Palgrave Macmillan and the Corporate Excellence Library. The book is available under open access and is sponsored by DPMC España, UIC Barcelona and Corporate Excellence - Centro for Reputation Leadership.
Dr Carlos Rey presented the book on 25 June at the Madrid Campus of the University of Navarra and also more recently at the Forum of Reputation, Communication and Management of Intangibles at the University of Málaga, which was held on 12 December.
