The UIC Presents its Range of Bachelor's Degree Programmes at Educational Resources Exhibition
On Wednesday, 13 March 2013, UIC Rector Dr. Pere Alavedra greeted Antoni Castellà, the Catalan Secretary for Universities and Research of the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge, and Lluis Font, the Catalan Secretary for Organizational Policies of the Ministry of Education, during their inaugural visit to the Educational Resources Exhibition, which will be open until Sunday, 17 March, at the Fira de Barcelona trade fair centre.
On Wednesday, 13 March 2013, dozens of students visited the Educational Resources Exhibition, which will be open until Sunday, 17 March, at the Fira de Barcelona trade fair centre. Over the course of the five days, student volunteers, administrative staff and teachers at the UIC booth will provide information on the 14 degree programmes offered by the UIC on its campuses in Barcelona and Sant Cugat del Vallès.
A new feature at the UIC in the coming academic year will be the combined business administration and engineering programme that will allow students to earn two degrees in five years. The UIC offers the chance to study business administration at the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and obtain an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, plus a degree in Technical Engineering from the Italian university. And, by studying for one more year in Barcelona and Turin, students can obtain a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Production Systems. This allows students to gain fluency in two foreign languages: Italian and English.
The UIC is also highlighting its double degree programmes. The university offers students a total of ten double degree programmes to complement their training. Humanities and Education, Law and Business Administration or Business Administration and Political Science and Public Management are just a few examples of the simultaneous study programmes to chose from. This gives students the chance to expand their knowledge and pursue more professional options.
The UIC's objective is not only to ensure that its students become excellent professionals, but also to cultivate and promote other qualities that will help them in their personal and professional development. It therefore attaches particular importance to aspects such as personal advice sessions, tutorials and coaching. The UIC operates a teaching model based on academic excellence, personalization and maximizing student skills.
The UIC will also be at the Futura Fair on Friday and Saturday, 15-16 March 2013, where it will present its more than one hundred postgraduate programmes.
