UIC Presents Postgraduate Programmes at Futura Fair

The UIC presented about a hundred interdisciplinary programmes at the Futura Master's and Postgraduate Programme Trade Show held at the Fira de Barcelona trade fair centre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 15-17 March 2013. The university's international and interdisciplinary approach, as well as its focus on business innovation applied to different industries, are some of the features that make the UIC postgraduate training programmes stand out.

University-business relations, a commitment to innovation and the transfer of knowledge are the fundamental objectives of the UIC. For this reason, since it was founded, the university has been responding to the needs of the market by designing Master's and postgraduate programmes whose aim is to train professionals to join the job market.

The objective of the Master's Programme in Business Innovation is to create innovative and enterprising professional leaders. From the first day, students tackle on-demand and in-company projects in different areas of the business world. Each project focuses on process creation and improvement.

Within the field of business, the UIC also presented the Master's Programme in Service Companies, which offers training in comprehensive business management. Its objective is to provide the tools and knowledge students need to understand the characteristics of customer-oriented businesses, as well as the strategies and specific plans they implement.

In humanities, the UIC offered the well-established University Master's Programme in Cultural Management and the Postgraduate Programme in Cultural Management, which are designed for professionals who wish to further their knowledge of cultural management tools, the legal aspects of museums and foundations, cultural finance and cultural marketing.

In architecture, the ESARQ School of Architecture presented, in addition to other postgraduate and Master's programmes, the well-established University Master's Programme in Biodigital Architecture. The pioneering postgraduate programme is the first Master's programme to study architecture from the biological and digital points of view. It is the first to bring together systematically the founders of digital organics, the newest trend in 21st-century architecture.

Finally, the Sant Cugat campus offered a wide range of Master's programmes in dentistry, medicine, nursing and physiotherapy, which represent the university's response to the demand for quality professional training and highlight the scientific and instrumental development the institution provides its students. One example is the Master's programme in Health Management, which offers a comprehensive and practical perspective of the health field. It prepares students to take on responsibilities in clinical management and managing functional areas and services, and trains them to lead professional teams in healthcare centres.
