UIC Summer Courses Begin

Tuesday, 25 June 2013, marked the beginning of the UIC summer courses, which will be held until the end of July. Once again, the course offer was published in the Vives University Network Summer Course Guide.

The Faculty of Education has the largest offer of courses, some of which, such as Voice and Body: Tools to Improve Communication and Introduction to Art Therapy Workshop, are being offered again due to their success in previous years. The Institute of Advanced Family Studies (IESF) is offering the course Intelligence Education in Families, while the Nursing Department in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is offering the course Creative Accompaniment in Loss, Mourning and Death, which aims to help students discover the tools needed to accompany people in the difficult time they are going through while respecting their dignity and way of dealing with it.

The courses are listed in the Summer Course Guide published each year by the Vives University Network. The guide includes the course offerings for the twenty-one universities that make up the network, as well as other organizations connected to them. This year’s guide includes a total of 642 courses that will be held in 79 towns where Catalan is spoken. An estimated 25,000 people are expected to enrol in the courses.
