The UIC's Master's Degree in Cultural Management Attends 1st Latin American University Symposium on Cultural Management

Dr. Marta Crispí, the Director of the UIC Master's Degree Programme in Arts and Cultural Management, and Angélica M. Gómez, a student from the 2013-2014 academic year, read the paper «The Competences of Cultural Managers: New Training Paradigms» at the 1st Latin American University Symposium on Cultural Management, held at the Universidad de La Sabana in Bogota from Monday to Thursday, 6-9 October 2014.

The paper was based on the results of a survey of Latin American alumni of the UIC master's programme and a small group of Latin American cultural managers. The survey results included a description of the features of Latin American cultural management and a list of the key professional competences of cultural managers today.

In the words of Dr. Marta Crispí, the Director of the UIC Master's Degree Programme in Arts and Cultural Management, “This information is particularly useful for updating the academic training offered by universities to Cultural Management students".
