This activity forms part of a cooperation agreement signed during the 2018-2019 academic year between the School, located in Sant Cugat, and the UIC Barcelona university clinic, and lecturers and students from the bachelor’s degree and postgraduate degree programmes in the UIC Faculty of Dentistry. 

The team that gave the check-ups was led by Dr Alexandra Trullàs and Dr Blanca Framisde Mena, lecturers for the Master’s Degree in Comprehensive Paediatric Dentistry directed by Dr Francisco Guinot, head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at the University.

Specifically, the UIC Barcelona Dentistry programme students checked the dental health of children in year 3 and 5 of the Primary school as well as pre-primary pupils. Along with the check-ups, the visit was also complemented by educational talks prepared by the Faculty of Dentistry paediatric dentists, particularly aimed at children, to raise awareness of the importance of looking after their mouth.
