A hundred students of 20 different nationalities took part on 16-18 January in the Welcome Session organised by the International Relations service for all the international students who are studying their degrees at our university during the second half of the academic year, either through the Erasmus programme or bilateral agreements that UIC Barcelona has with other universities around the world.
All the new students attended the initial briefing on 16 January, where International Relations, Student Services and the Institute for Multilingualism came to give a short presentation. Each of the services provided the information the students might require to find their feet as soon as possible at UIC Barcelona. Subsequently, the students had a guided tour with the respective academic coordinators of the various facilities on the Barcelona Campus.
On 17 and 18 January, International Relations and the Institute for Multilingualism organised two fun interactive workshops on the Sant Cugat Campus for students from both campuses. Through these activities, participants had the chance to learn and practice a little Catalan and get to know the Catalan culture. They also had a guided tour of Barcelona.
