Welcome Session for Foreign Students

On Thursday and Friday, 5-6 September 2013, the Department of International Relations held welcome sessions on the Barcelona and Sant Cugat campuses, respectively, for the foreign students who will study at the UIC this year thanks to the ERASMUS programme and bilateral exchanges.

About a hundred students of 21 different nationalities attended the information session on the new academic year that was held in the Garden Hall on the Barcelona campus and coordinated by María Borrell from the Department of International Relations. A further 30 students of 10 different nationalities attended the second welcome session, which was held on the Sant Cugat campus and was coordinated by Mónica Luque, who runs the ERASMUS programmes on the campus.

The majority of the students who took part in the sessions were from Italy, France and Germany, but there were also students from South Korea, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Panama, Colombia, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Finland, Belgium and Sweden.

Many of the foreign students will focus their studies on the general Business Administration programme, Architecture and Dentistry, while others will participate in exchange programmes in Education, Law and Politics, Audiovisual Communication, the Humanities, Medicine and Nursing.
