From 27-30 May, lecturers and students from the Master’s Degree in Periodontology took part in the 2019 SEPA Conference in Valencia. More specifically, Ettore Amerio was awarded first prize in the category Presentations in Video Format for his work “Modified-minimally invasive surgical technique: surgical technique and 2 year outcomes”. “The work consisted of presenting surgeries carried out over the course of two years”, explains Amerio, “and winning this award was a thrilling experience, and a great team effort”.

In addition, Ada Lapedra, Jesús Muñoz, Lory Abrahamian and Amr Khorshed were selected as finalists in the following categories: Clinical Oral Presentations, Presentations in Video Format and Presentations in Poster Format. Taking part in one of the most important conferences in the field of Periodontology “was an incredible experience that we hope to repeat next year”, explained Amr Khorshed and Lory Abrahamian. Ada Lapedra also went on to say that, “being a finalist is a responsibility and a privilege”.
