The Chair in Zygomatic Implants. A New digital approach is an initiative launched by the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry in collaboration with the dental solutions manufacturer Straumann.
Directed by Dr Federico Hernández-Alfaro and coordinated by Dr Adaia Valls and Dr Jorge Bertos, lecturers and researchers in the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty, the Chair was created with the aim of providing rigorous scientific knowledge of the current state of dentistry from a clinical and technological perspective.
The Chair will focus on digital approaches to zygomatic implants. This treatment is intended to rehabilitate patients who have lost all teeth and bone mass in their jaws and for whom it is the only alternative to removable prostheses with a palate.
