Healthcare Management and Health Policy Chair

The Healthcare Management and Health Policy Chair is an initiative of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences that was created through a partnership with the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation and is directed Dr Boi Ruiz.

The purpose of health policies is to ensure people live as long as possible in the best possible health. They are also a key element in social cohesion and the generation of wealth. Their design and implementation require a workforce of professional managers and directors capable of responding to the changes and challenges that continuously emerge in the world of health, not only in terms of economic and social scenarios, but also with regards to the patterns of disease and technological innovation.

The Healthcare Management and Health Policy Chair is a point of convergence of academic and practical knowledge. It is the ideal place to find this necessary professional competence and accumulate the available and affordable expertise required to perform studies and research.
