Penedès centre

The Campus of the UIC Barcelona experience has a section in the Penedès area, at Camp Joliu school, which offers the people living in this area the university programme for the over 50s at the UIC Barcelona Experience Campus.  

The subjects are drawn from the following areas of knowledge: History, art, philosophy, literature, science, technology, law, economics, sociology, psychology and health sciences, as a basis for examining current culture, science and society in depth.

The classes are taught at the Camp Joliu del Penedès School (km 1.202, N-340, 43720 L'Arboç, Tarragona) on Tuesdays from 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 pm.

Methodology

Dynamic and participatory, including face-to-face classes and individual and group work.

Assessment: pass or fail. 80% attendance and active participation are required. There are no exams.

Students who have successfully completed all three years will receive a Diploma from the UIC Barcelona, Initial or Advanced (Penedès Centre). These are not official certificates.

How to enrol. Prerequisites and admissions

The Experience Campus is aimed at the over-50s.

No previous qualifications are required.

To pre-register for the first year of the Experience Campus (Penedès section), fill out this form.

You can also pre-register with the secretary at Camp Joliu del Penedès School.

Students who have finished the 1st year do not need to pre-register and can enrol directly for the next year.

As the number of places is limited, they will be awarded in order of enrolment.
