The Surgical and Functional Anatomy Unit is a spacious modern 2,500m2 facility that consists of:
- 3 dissection and research laboratories
- 1 ossuary
The laboratories and facilities are used by students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for anatomy practicums, as well as for research and continuing education purposes by professionals from the fields of surgery and functional anatomy.
The vast majority of activities that take place in the Surgical and Functional Anatomy Unit are possible thanks to body donation, an altruistic and voluntary act that helps improve the teaching and preparation of future Medicine and Health Sciences professionals and spur advancements in the field of research.
