GRC - Materials for Bioengineering

The main objective of the Materials for Bioengineering research group is to provide medical solutions in the field of bioengineering, a discipline that applies the principles of biological system engineering and biomedical technologies, to develop the materials necessary to design fully functional tissues or organs, or external prostheses needed for people who have suffered amputations.

The group is made up of people from the areas of chemical science, physical sciences and engineering, taking into account the biology of these systems, to avoid causing any unwanted reactions. Moreover, the group constantly interacts with doctors who provide feedback on the product.
