Advertising Students Complete Work Session at Martín Faixó Winery

On Wednesday, 26 February 2014, a group of second- and third-year students from the UIC Bachelor's Degree Programme in Advertising and Public Relations had a work session at Martín Faixó Winery. The session, coordinated by Prof. Pilar Buil, was coordinated within the context of two subjects taught by the professor in the second term, Institutional Communication and Statistics: Market Research.

Once the students were familiarized with the product and the winery site, they participated in a work session in which they were able to delve into issues such as brand positioning, trade policy and customer relations.

During their visit, the students had the opportunity to tour the wineries, watch how Perafita wine is made, learn about the winery’s distinctive features and sample some of its products. They also visited Mas Sa Perafita, a 14th century estate whose charm appeals to a large number of tourists from all over the world. It sits on 70 hectares in a privileged location, Cap de Creus Natural Park, on the Costa Brava between Roses, El Port de la Selva and Cadaqués.

Following their visit, the third-year students carried out a market research project for the brand, while the second-year students developed a communication plan.
