The Artistic Skating Club of Olot made history in the World Artistic Skating Championship, taking the gold in the Large Show group category. Her performance “No em vinguis amb cuentus” [Don’t come to me with excuses] captivated the public as well as the jury. With this medal, the club now holds fourteen world titles representing Spain. 

Aina Planiol is a member of the Sport Talent programme that UIC Barcelona provides for high-level and high-performance athletes. This offer allows students like Aina to combine their studies with their professional sport activities, and also gives them the opportunity to represent the University in interuniversity competitions at regional, national and international levels. With this programme, we hope that these students can enjoy their university time to the fullest while maintaining their sports schedule and not have to leave behind what they are most passionate about.
